how to add docable frame with existing swings application?

We only have examples of Docking Framework. The basic one is SimplestDockingFrameworkDemo and DockingFrameworkDemo at examples/D1. DockingFramework. You may take a look at them as well as JIDE Docking Framework Developer Guide. Your question is too generic as each Swing application is so different. So I can't answer you how to do it exactly. But I know it is absolutely possible.
