Exposing methods in BasicSplitButtonUI

Postby kirillcool » Tue Aug 26, 2008 9:21 am

Can the following methods in BasicSplitButtonUI be made protected instead of private:

getDropDownRect(JComponent, int, int, int)
getButtonRect(JComponent, int, int, int)

Thanks
Kirill

Would that mean requesting Developer role on the jide-oss project?

By the way, the new message board doesn't send e-mail on new replies in the watched (or started) threads.

Thanks

You should have developer role on JCL now. For JCL, feel free to check in any small changes without notifying us first. We will review them later. If we disagree the change, we will revert them. For big changes, it is of course better to discuss on the forum first.

The forum should notify. Do you watch this thread? It also doesn't notify you again for the second reply if you has been notified once for the first reply but you didn't visit it.

Just so you know, 2.4.0 release changed both methods to protected.
