DateCellEditor Question

Hi I have a Date column that I would like to edit. I use DateCellEditor as the TabelCellEditor. When I click the cell (date cell) the cell becomes blank. How do I leave the date and just highlight it? The next issue is when clicking the dropdown it displays the Calendar control fine. But how do I set it so that the date and time displayed in the table cell is selected when the calendar control opens? Thanks.
