HierarchicalTableCellRenderer

Postby tomerbd09100 » Mon Nov 23, 2009 11:28 pm

Hi,

I tried to use your 'BooleanCheckBoxCellRenderer' on a hierarchical table and i have noticed that it is not painting the BG color and the selected color as expected, My first suggestion is to implemet the 'BooleanHierarchicalTableCellRenderer', and of course the second one is to implement 'PanelHierarchicalTableCellRenderer' that will help all kind of user to extend this class and implement whatever cellRenderer they need. (Just put it into the panel)

Thanks, Tomer

I just tried myself but it seems working fine. See below. I added an extra column to the demo to have a check box as cell renderer/editor. Do you use a 3rd party L&F by any chance?

HI,

Yes we are using the Substance L&F, but since the Hierarchical table not support this L&F it install the "BasicHierarchicalTableUI" that is currently being used.

That's not surprise. You will probably see a lot of other incompatible issues with Substance. We indeed have trouble supporting this particular L&F.

But still, the Table UI is yours and the TableCellRenderer is yours, I do not force the table to use Substance UI class.

Tomer.

That's true but the check box UI is theirs. If their check box UI refused to respect the background we set on it, we have nothing to do.
