JDBC DataModel

Postby deftex » Sat Jul 18, 2009 2:41 am

In the current (2.2.1) JDAF Developer Guide it mentions that a JDBC DataModel will be developed/provided in a "future release".

Have you got a timeline on this?

Not at this time. We have tried multiple implementations and are having a hard time deciding where to go with the final delivery. It can get very complicated, and what we may end up with is something more simple and in general use. But we realize this may disappoint some users. Everyone seems to do things differently which has made it hard to land.

We provided the AddressBook demo as an example. You certainly may use the AddressBookDataModel as an example though. With this model, when you change the key in the criteria, it reads in a new object in the data property and fires events for the UI.
