Bug in DateSpinner component

Postby arazvi » Tue Jul 17, 2007 3:13 am

Hi Guys !

If you highlight the minutes shown in a DateSpinner
and type in a new legal value, it changes as expected.

But if you highlight the hours in a DateSpinner and
type in a new legal value, it does not change.

Thanks.

Asad.

We are aware of the issue. The spinner uses overwrite mode. For every key you type, it will make sure the value is valid. For example, if you have 08 as the hour and your cursor is before 0. If you try to type 1, it will not allow you because 18 is not a valid hour (in 12-hour display). You have to go change 8 to 2 first, then change the first 0 to 1 next. It sounds werid but we just couldn't find a better solution unless we don't use the SpinnerDateModel provided by Java. Right now, at least the up/down key works just fine so there is still a value in this DateSpinner.

Thanks,
