JIDE Common layer in eclipse

Postby obadis » Thu Jan 05, 2012 8:14 pm

Hello,

I am trying to add JIDE Common layer components in the palette using Palette manager -> import jar , but I could not see any components added to the palette . so I am wondering how in eclipse we add JIDE components.

Thanks,
/Badis

BTW, you may need to restart eclipse after importing jar. It might be a bug in eclipse.

See a screenshot below.

It works, However it looks like some of the components are missing , I downloaded the latest 3.2.2 jar file here is what i see in the palette
see attached file for the list of components available.

Thanks,

Actually you got all the components we defined in manifest.mf file inside jide-common.jar. I just noticed in my screenshot, there are duplicates which is why it appears more than you got. It is probably because the component didn't show up when I imported, so I imported the jar several times until I found after restarting eclipse, the components show up. There are probably more components that can be used inside the windowbuilder and we will update the manifest.mf accordingly.
